Love is in the Air

I had fun making these two cards.Although they are very different in appearance the theme is the same.

I used the Cricut cartridge Love Struck 2010 to make both of them.

Pink and Black card
*Cut black bazzil or card to fit the front of the card- I cut it at 14.5 cms square
*Cut the pink spotted paper at 13.5 cms. Attach them to each other
*Cut the bird in foliage heart at 4″ out of black shiny paper ( I find the shiny paper works best on fine cuts like this)
*Cut a strip of black shiny paper 3cms wide by 13.5 cms long and punch both sides using the Martha Steward lace doily punch to make the black lace ribbon
*Attach it to the front of the card and put a black rhinestone it the centre of each section.
*Attach the heart to the front of the card -use a zig 2 way roll pen or similar to do this

Black and White card
*Cut a piece of black bazzil or card at 14.5 cms square
*Cut a piece of white sparkly paper at 14 cms square and attach to each other
*Cut a piece of black ribbon and attach to the left hand side of the square
*Cut the 2 heads heart from white shiny paper at 4 1/2′ and then cut the matching shadow feature out of black shiny paper.
*Attach them together and using 3D tape or pop dots attach slightly off centre to the card.
*Using a love stamp and black ink stamp the word in the bottom right hand corner of the card.

I have a lovely stamp that I have used inside these cards- it is an Inkadoo one that says
LOVE does not consist of gazing at each other but in looking together in the same direction.- Antoine de Saint Expery
